Events held at the Lafia township stadium featured march past by primary and secondary school students with prizes awarded to deserving schools. Also featured was public lectures, cultural display by pupils and a special message by His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. The speech was read by the Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aisha Rufa’i Ibrahim
